Hard to Believe!

It is so hard for me to believe that 2012 is already over and it's almost 2013! And you want to know what is even harder for me to believe... this was I our third Christmas celebrating with Macey!?! Where does the time go?

Christmas 2012

We have had sucha n awesome Christmas! I'm so sad that it is over and it's time to get back to reality in a couple days :( I am so blessed with wonderful husband, precious daughter, and the best family!

Macey loves her brother! 

Santa came! I was so excited for Christmas morning that I was up way before Macey! I got up at 6:30 and Macey did not wake up until 9:00. I tried twice to wake her up and she would roll over and start snoring! It was very hard to be patient, but I made it!

Santa brought Macey a kitchen set, barbie car and barbie, baby doll, and other little goodies!

She loves this horse that we got her. She keeps trying to ride it! I'm thinking we should have got a bigger one. While riding it she yell's "YeeHaw" I have no clue where she learned that from.

This sweet girl is so fun and full of personality!!!

One night last week she decided to smile and pose for the camera before bed!

Christian came home last Friday and came with gifts! A new pair of black uggs! I have one pair and love them, so he knew I'd like these!

Our Weekend

I almost feel quilty for posting about our weekend when there are so many families mourning over loved ones lost in the awful tragedy on Friday. My heart breaks for the parents of those sweet, innocent children, families of the teachers, and everyone else affected. I can't even imagine what they are feeling and going through. I have held my baby extra long this weekend and given her extra kisses and hugs. I have made sure I told her I love her about a 1,000 times. I have prayed so hard this weekend for peace for those families. This morning at a church we had a special prayer and it was all I could do to hold the tears back, but like our pastor said it is a good thing that there are so many who can come this morning and worhsip and pray for the families.

Christian was out of town all week and got home Friday evening! We were so happy to have our Daddy back home. The word I should use is blessed. I truly felt blessed that I was able to kiss my husband and daughter goodnight Friday.

Saturday we went to the mall to finisih up some Christmas shopping and that evening we went with my family to see Christmas lights. There is a house that decorates with over a million lights each year and this was our first year visiting. It was a little bit of a drive, but it was still a fun night.

Breakfast with Santa!

Macey's little preschool had a breakfast with Santa for all the kids! She only goes to school on Monday's, but I decided to take her yesterday morning!

She is so my daughter....look at that pose!!!

I was hoping she would like Santa better when she saw all her friends from school with him, but that was not the case.

Our weekend!

Some how Monday got away from me and I never posted about our weekend, but I'm not complaining about a quick Monday by any means :)

 

Friday night we went to an early dinner and came home and made a gingerbread house and train! Macey had fun helping us, but she was more interested in eating the candy instead of decorating!

Saturday we walked around downtown Lexington! It is about 20 minutes from our house and they have the cutest little Main St. and a few cute stores! Lexington is known for their BBQ and they have little pigs all around town and Macey LOVED them! 

Macey before church on Sunday. Does anyone else have the problem of getting their 2 year old to smile for the camera! She is as happy as can be and as soon as I get the camera out it is straight face! Oh well...good thing she is cute no matter what! 

Christian went Christmas shopping Saturday night for us girls and he came home with this Fisher Price Nativity Scene and it is Macey's new favorite toy! She hasn't stopped playing with it. She had to sleep with Baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph the first night...HA! 

Fancy Girl!

Anyone that knows me at all, knows that I love to dress Macey up! I love having a little girl and dress her up for any occassion and if I'm being honest we don't have to have a reason to dress up. I tell people dressing Macey up is my hobby :)

I think between the dresses I have bought Macey for Christmas time and what my sister has bought her she seriously has enough to wear a different one every day almost.

This dress is one of my favorites! She looks so darling in it! 

My mom bought her these shoes earlier this fall and Macey loves them! Here she is checking them out. This is what she does everytime we put them on her! 

I mean seriously how precious is she! 

Sweet girl being silly!

I love that she now ask for a bow and will cry if I don't put one in! I love bows! My mom had a matching bow for all my outfits when I was little and I feel I must do the same for Macey :)

Christmas Parade

We took Macey to the Christmas Parade last Sunday and she had such a good time!

Visiting Santa!

We decided to take Macey to see Santa tonight because the lines are so ridiculously long on the weekend! We figured she wasn't going to like him because the child is so shy and scared of most men.

 I promise she really is a happy baby even though she will not smile for pictures that often!!

She is smiling here because I was tickling her while we waited in line! 

She started screaming the second we started walking up to him. She was covering her face saying no and was shaking. Poor kid was terrified and I'm pretty sure the whole mall could hear her screaming! 

But I had to get at least one picture of her on Santa's lap. The second I picked up and told her to say bye she was fine! She even managed to tell him from my arms that she wanted a barbie, barbie car, and a baby :) I might try to take her back with my nephews to see how she will do with them with her. 

We took her to ride the carousel afterwards and all was well!
