Halloween Fun!!

We had another fun Halloween this year!!! Macey is at such a fun age right now and really enjoyed all the little things!!!
She was so excited to carve her pumpkin!!!
She wanted Minnie Mouse ears this year, so of course, that's what she got!!! She was so proud of her pumpkin!!!
Macey decided to be a witch this year and my goodness she was the cutest little witch! I loved her costume! It was just so pretty!!!
Macey enjoyed trick or treating this year and ran to every door!
Hope you all had a Happy Halloween! I just pulled down our Fall/Halloween decorations and hoping to get a head start on Christmas décor soon!

Birthday Party!!!

Macey turned FOUR last month and I decided to keep it simple!!! We hosted her party at a little place here in town called the Mad Platter and the kids painted pottery!
The birthday girl!!!
I kept the food simple, too! We had cake, chocolate covered pretzels, and juice!
Macey's only request was she wanted an Elsa cake...and Y'ALL!! Look how darn cute this cake turned out! We ordered if from a bakery across town and it was well worth the drive!!!
We let the kids paint little hand tiles, so they can hand them up with ribbon! Macey did a handprint with flowers all around it! I can't wait to pick up the pottery and see how they all turned out!
This party was fun, simple, and over in an hour!

Hello!

I wasn't sure how to label this post since it has been over a year or close to it since I've posted...I've really let the blog slip to the back burner, but I miss documenting our memories!
There is no way I can recap our whole past year...so I'll just highlight a few of the big parts!
We moved into our new home last November! Crazy to think that we have been here for almost a whole year already! We are slowly, but surely making it feel like home. We have a never ending DIY list, but we take it one step at a time! Maybe I'll do a home tour soon!
We are still just a family of three!
We had plans to hopefully welcome a new baby this past year, but as always God has reminded our family that he is in control and it is all in his timing! I have had a really hard time accepting this fact this past year, but trying hard to rest in his peace and let him handle the future for our family!
And this sweet, little lady just turned FOUR this week! I'm not sure how on earth she is already four, but we have celebrated all week! She is keeping her Mommy and Daddy busy with her sweet, sassy, funny, strong personality! There is never a dull moment with her around!!!
This year has had its ups and down, but we are truly blessed!
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with JOY. Psalms 126:3

So here is to my final attempt at blogging...

Halloween!!!

We had a little bumble bee buzzing around this Halloween! Macey was the cutest little bee that we've ever did see! This customer was just perfect for her!
Macey really enjoyed Halloween this year and loved all the candy even more! We took her to a trunk or treat to the church of her preschool and then we went trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood. I also walked her around to a few neighbors in my parents neighborhood. We tricked or treat with a little girl in our new neighborhood and they would hold hands and run from door to door. It was hard for me to accept the fact that she was big enough this year to go to the doors with a friend and didn't need me :(
How stinkin' cute is this picture?!?!
Macey's school at a little parade and all the kids marched through the church, playground, and parking lot trick-or-treating with the staff. They were all so cute!!!!!
This post should catch me to present time other than our house updates! We are getting close to it being finished and will probably just do one big post later once it's completed. Just pray for no big delays or issues to come up!!!

I really like this one with the black and white photo with the bright colors!!!

This is such a cute design and perfect for showing off a family photo!!!

THREE!!!

Somehow Macey turned THREE last month! I'm still in shock that my sweet, little newborn is three. These past three years have flown! Life is so fun with this little girl! She keeps me on my toes and some days I want to pull my hair, but I would trade being her Mommy for anything!
Since life is a little crazy right now with the house and living with my parents I decided to keep things simple this year! We celebrated the Saturday before her birthday at Chick-fil-a with a few friends and cupcakes! We ate, had cupcakes, and the kids played! It was so nice and easy!!!
We celebrated on Sunday with family. I made chili and we had more cupcakes!!!! I kind of felt bad that I didn't plan a big party this year, but I think Macey enjoyed celebrating two days!!!

I snapped a few pics of Macey before family arrived that Sunday! Once again she could care less about looking at the camera and giving me a real smile!
She is such a mess these days and this is the best I could get!!!
I think she looks so grown up here. It kinda makes me sad...
We had a great weekend celebrating our 3 year old!!!! Sadly, for Mom and Dad I think 3 is going to be harder for us than 2. She has an opinion, talks back, tells me no, and has major melt downs!!! BUT the other part of the time she is the sweetest little girl with manners, hugs and kisses, and listens like a champ!!! I'm learning to pick my battles!!!

Pumpkin Patch

We took Macey to the Pumpkin Patch last month to let her run around and ride the cow train!!!
Of course, we had to have a family picture while there!
My sweet girl refusing to look at the camera!!!
I love this picture! I hope she never gets too old to love on her momma in public!

Christian and Macey riding the cow train!
And Momma and Macey!
We had a fun afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch!

Country Wedding!!

We went to a family wedding back in September. It was such a cute country wedding on a farm in a barn! It was one of the cutest weddings I've been to in a while. I wish I would have take more pictures, but I didn't. If you follow me on instagram or FB you can see more pics!
Macey and her Papa!!! I love this picture of these two!!!
Macey loved the cows, so of course we had to get a picture with them!!!
My sweet little family! I love my people! They make me happy!
The sunset on this farm was beautiful!!! I LOVE this picture of Macey!!! I kind of want Christian and I to have a pretend wedding, so we can get married in this barn!! LOL!

School

Macey started a new school this past September. She goes on Mondays and Wednesday, 9-12 and she loves it. Her teachers, Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. Moore, are super nice and she is learning so much! She is going to the church that I went to during middle and high school and this is where my oldest nephew went as well. I am so glad that we made the decision to switch this year!
Here is my big girl on her first day!! She was so excited and couldn't wait to go. I hope she always loves school this much! She didn't think twice about me dropping her off and I didn't even get a bye! I am thankful that drop off is easy for us, because I feel so bad for those moms that have leave their screaming babies!
And the back of her little backpack is just too cute not to share!!!
I don't even want to think about how grown she will look at the end of the year when I do comparison pictures!

Summer Vacation

I am so behind on blogging, but I still want to share a few pictures from our family vacation this summer. We went to Orlando, Fl. with my parents, my sister and her family! We had such a good time and can't wait to go back.
Here are the three kiddos when we arrived in Florida!
A few pictures of our awesome resort! We stayed on property and the resort was so fun!
My sweet family before dinner one night!!!
Macey got to hold an alligator one afternoon and she had no fear!!! Definitely not my child..HA!
Macey insisted on mommy hold the alligator too! It was actually really soft; not what I was expecting at all!
We did do the whole Disney thing which was tons of fun, but I didn't get a lot of pictures! I love this picture of the Epcot ball though!
We walked around the Boardwalk at Disney one night, so pretty!!
Macey with Chip and Dale! I was so shocked that she wanted to get a picture with them. In the past she has always been terrified of the characters.
And of course, one last picture with Mickey!!!

Quick hello....

We are still alive! Most of you have probably kept up with us this Summer and Fall through Instagram, FB, or Twitter. We have been so busy and so out of sorts! When you are living with family and out of boxes while waiting on your house to be ready to move in, life gets hard and something had to go for a while! I have so much that I want to blog about (Summer vacation, Macey's 3rd birthday, Halloween, our house progress), but I just haven't taken the time to sit down to write about it all. I hope to get caught up in the next week or two, so I can keep up during the holidays!

Kentucky Trip

Macey and I tagged along with my parents the weekend of the 4th to Kentucky to visit family! We had a fun time in our short 3 days. We had a lot of family time, went to the zoo, watched fireworks, and more! The best part was Macey got to spend time with her Great Grandma Lucy! Enjoy the pics!

Life Lately

Life has been a little busy and slightly crazy! The big news is we sold our house! We put our house on the market in February and was under contract in April. We were suppose to close at the end of May, so a day and half before closing we moved out and then got a phone call that it had been pushed back. Talk about irritating....this went on for TWO WEEKS. We finally closed at the beginning of June. It was so frustrating waiting everyday to see if we were going to close. I am so glad that part is behind us!
It was such a bittersweet moment! We were glad to sell our house, but at the same time this was our first home, where we got married, where we brought Macey home to and where we became a family. We lived in this house for 6 1/2 years and officially out grew it! It was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1 car garage townhouse and it fills up quick with a baby in the mix!
One last family picture out front...and yes, my shirt says the The Bomb Mom (don't judge)!
We originally planned on buying a house at the end of summer, but after looking around we decided to build a house. The builder is estimating 4-5 months of build time once they break ground, but we are still in the permit process. In the meantime, we are staying with my parents. I'm thankful they are generous enough to share their home with us this summer! I plan on sharing updates about our new house on here pretty regular. I want to have a place to look back on from start to finish!
