Another Snowy Day

Today was another snowy day here in NC!!! Christian had to go to work again today and I spent the day cleaning. My house needed some major attention and I needed to do a lot of laundry. My parents came by a for a little bit to visit us, I guess they were wanting to get out of the house too. Once Christian came home from work he drove me to my office to get something I need to work from home tomorrow and then went to an early dinner at Outback! I was happy to get out of the house for a little bit. It looks like I will be spending another day in the house again tomorrow also. My office always follow the school schedule when we have bad weather and my county is close. Which is a good thing because I do not like to drive in this weather. The main roads are not too bad, but the side roads and neighborhoods are still covered. I'm sure everything will be frozen in the morning anyways! I am looking forward to having the day off and catching up on some daytime TV! I hope you all have had a nice weekend.

Snowed In

We got so much snow here for NC!!! We ended up getting probably around 7 inches and that is a lot for us. We have not had this much snow in a while!!! I love the snow but not when I've been stuck in the house all day by myself. Since Christian has a huge project going on at work, he had to go in today...ugh! So I spent the day doing absolutely nothing. Once Christian left for work around 9, I ate a bowl of cereal and took a nap until 1. I had every intention of cleaning the house today but I ended up watching TV.  Once Christian got home from work he had tickets to go the motorcross at the coliseum and it wasn't cancelled, so I am by myself again...boo! Thank Goodness Tomorrow Is Friday!!!!

This has been a long and busy week I at work and I'm ready for some relaxation! They are calling for snow tomorrow night and Saturday and if we get what they are for I will probably be spending the weekend at home!

I received my jewelry today from the jewelry party that I hosted a couple of weeks ago and I must say it is all too cute! I will take pictures this weekend and do a post with them.

Dreaming

It was so pretty here last week, it was sunny and 60 degrees!!! I loved it while it lasted and enjoyed every minute of it for January!!!! Sunday and Monday was cold and rainy and today was just cold.  They are calling for a wintry mix on Friday and Saturday and it is suppose to be really cold. I'm ready to pack my bags and go somewhere warm for a week or two. Today I've dreaming of ...

COWGIRL BOOTS

I have been really wanting a pair of Cowgirl Boots this year! I've always thought they were cute and wanted a pair but I've never looked at them in the stores, but I got a dress a while back that would look so cute with cowgirl boots! Then one of my girlfriends got a pair for Christmas and I love them, so of course I've been dying for a a pair! So today Christian and I went to the mall on a search for boots! Christian was sucha good help and was such a trooper! I think I tried every boot that Belk's had on and went into every other store with shoes! I was about to pay a pair of boots at Belks for $100, but then I wanted to run into Rack Room Shoes just to look and I found these cute ones for less than half the the price of the others!

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on them b/c I've never had a pair and I'm not sure how often I will wear them. I am very happy with my purchase and glad  didn't spend a lot of money on them! I can't wait to wear them to work tomorrow!

Here is a close up picture of them! I orginally went to look for a tan colored pair that had a taller heel and not so western looking but I ended up with these!!!

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday and my family went out to Outback for dinner! It is always fun to get together for dinner!

We had them sing Happy Birthday to him and they brought a delicious little ice cream dessert!!!!

My friend Amanda and her baby also came in town this weekend from Wilmington, so I spent a lot of time with them! Friday night Christian and I went to dinner with them and I went to her parents house afterwards to love on her sweet baby boy, Walker!!!

He is just so sweet and little! Her mom watched him yesterday for her while we ran to the mall for lunch and a little shopping!

We've had a great weekend and I'm sad to see it end :(

Bridesmaid Dresses

Tonight I went with my friend Sarah to try on bridesmaid dresses for her wedding! January is not a good month to try on dresses.  The month right after the holidays and man am I ghostly white, I need to lose about 20 pounds and get a tan! Luckily her wedding isn't until July, so I have some time to work on those two issues. She is getting married on the beach, so she didn't pick a real fancy dress or anythng but I like them!

Here is the dress she picked out, but this isn't the color she picked (see next picture for color). Since she is getting married on the beach we are just going to where flip flops or go barefoot! If you know me I love my heels b/c I am only 5'0" and dresses look better on me with heels, so I told her I was wearing heels with dress after the ceremony and pictures! She isn't really the heel typ of person, so I knew we wouldn't wear heels in her wedding and plus it is on the beach!

This is the color she picked out! It looks pretty on and I know it will look even better this summer when I have a tan!
Other than bridesmaid dress shopping, we haven't really been up to much of anything this week. Today has been cold and rainy, so I picked up Chick-Fil-A on my home. I am so proud of myself the I order the grilled chicken sandwich with fruit, usually I get the number 1 (my favorite)! I did close my jewelry party today finally from last Thursday and I got $308 in free jewelry! I can't wait until it comes in, I will have to share pictures of all the fun stuff I got! I am so happy tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is here again! Have a great night!

The Bachelor

I just finished watching The Bachelor that I DVR'd last night and all I can say is DRAMA, DRAMA!!!!!! These girls are filled with drama this season, but I guess they are every season. I'm not really sure who I like this time, usually there are couple of girls that I like from the beginning until end.
I was happy to see Michelle leave last night!!!!

That girl was a handful and obviously had some things to work out! I'm glad Jake made that decision to send her home!
I actually liked Elizabeth at first but yes she did start to play mind games with Jake, so it was probably best that she gone also!

I thought his one on one with Ella was sweet! I loved that he brought her son out to see her, even though it might be soon for him to be the son! I think in this situation it is ok...

Ella is starting to grow on me and she seems to be a mature one in the group! I haven't really seen her get caught up in the drama!
Last but not least...Ali.

I have mixed emotions about her. I really like her last week on her one on one with Jake, she seemed sweet and innocent...BUT...this week she kind of mean to Vienna and to me it seem like she was trying to start drama! So I am not sure what I think of her now!  Who are your favorites on the show?
