Yes, I know it might be way too early for some people to think about anything Christmas, but I can't wait to put up my decorations. Macey is already so into all the decorations at the store, so I know she will love them at home! I might put up my tree this week or next week because Christian's dad is coming in town the following weekend and I want the house decorated for the holidays while he is here, since we will not see him in December.
Anyways...I LOVE the tree's with the big pretty mesh, but I have never attempted to decorate our tree with the big mesh. I've always used the smaller roll (not as wide), but I bought the wider one last night in red and green. I have been searching the internet all day today trying to find tips on decorating with it. I'm so undecided if I want to do the vertical like below...
Or if I want to wrap it horizontal....
I'm so undecided and have a feeling this tree is going to drive me crazy. It will probably take me forever to get it how I want it and I still probably won't be happy.
Also, I like the toppers I have been seeing on the internet, kinda like what is below. I have always used a bow or nothing at all. I'm thinking I need to go to Hobby Lobby and experiment!
So please share any tips you may have on decorating with mesh and if you have any suggestions on how to achieve this type of tree topper! Also, what do you think...vertical or horizontal mesh?

Fun! I've never done anything creative on our tree, but maybe this year I'll try the mesh too! We usually do two trees... one fake with white lights and nice ornament and the real one is color lights with fun ornaments or from when we were a kid
It looks like the horizontal would be easier?! Let me know after you try ;)
I love the look of the vertical. I need to try it too but have no clue where to start!! :) I think you should post a tutorial on it!
I love the mesh and pick toppers! I've done the horizontal mesh. I'm partial to it, but the vertical ones look nice too. The toppers are soo easy. You just buy a bunch of those picks and stick them in. I don't actually attach them to each other or the tree. I just stick them in all over until it's as full as I like it. (Hint: buy extra because they don't look as pretty if it isn't full.)
