Double Ear Infection

Today was Macey's 2 month check up and unfortunately she has a double ear infection. I knew she wasn't feeling well yesterday, but didn't think it was an ear infection. I feel so sorry for poor baby, but she is on an antibiotic and hopefully she will be feeling well soon. She is already acting like she feels better, as I type this she is lauging and playing on her little mat.

Christian is off from now until the new year, so we are looking forward to spending some quality time together with our sweet girl!!!

I feel so blessed to be able to call this sweet baby my daughter!

2 Months!!!

Macey you are 2 months old today!

Time is flying and I can't believe my sweet baby is already 2 months.

You have been such a blessing to your Daddy and me. I can't imagine life without you now.

You have really started to show your little personality this month.

Macey and I are spending the day at home again.

She woke up early this morning real congested and coughing and she didn't sleep well last night. I'm praying that she isn't getting sick and that this will pass.

Our Sunday

Christian and I tried a new church yesterday and it was Macey's first time going to church! She did so good and slept the whole time. Of course we had to get some pictures of Macey's first time going to church and I loved her little dress she had on.

Dear. Santa

I've been having issues with blogger and I have not been able to upload any pictures, which is why I haven't blogged. I have tried everyday...but today it worked!!!

We took Macey to see Santa this past week and I was so excited. I know she is too little to know the difference, but I didn't want to regret not taking her on her first Christmas.

 You can tell by this picture of what she thought of him. I think this is one of my favorites...LOL!!!

 Here is our second attempt and it went a little better, but she still has an unsure look on her face.

 I thought she would be too little cry with him, but she would stop crying every time we pick up.

2010 Christmas Card

I feel so behind this year with our Christmas cards, but I finally put them all in the mail today!!! I was so excited to send them out this year with our family of three as the picture! I made my Christmas cards this year with Shutterfly and I love how they turned out. I'm already working on a photo book from Shutterfly and I just ordered a Christmas gift last night from them. I feel bad we didn't have Buddy on the card this year, but I didn't have the time to get one with him.

Bright Eyes

I'm happy she is healthy and growing, but time needs to slow down!!!

I Love Santa

The other day I decided to have a little photo shoot with Macey!

My mom got her this outfit from Target and I think it is just too cute!!!

We are still working on getting her to smile for the camera, she usually smiles right after we take the picture.

 Do you guys know how hard it is to get a hyper dog and a newborn to look at the camera? Macey has started to notice Buddy lately and she will just stare at him. She is probably trying to figure out what this big black thing is that is always licking her head and hands.

 I love this picture even though neither one of them is looking at the camera.

1st Road Trip

We left last Wednesday to take Macey to Florida for the first time to visit Christian's family. Macey did wonderful on the ride but was a little fussy the next day.

While we were there we took Macey to Disney for the first time of many. Christian's dad works at Disney so we are blessed with the privilege to go whenever we want. We went to the Magic Kingdom and MGM Studios.

We spent the rest of the time in Florida visiting with Christian's family.

We are suppose to go to KY at the end of the month to visit my family, but I'm thinking about post poning it until the Spring. Macey was great on the trip, but I feel like it was a lot on her.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a nice Thanksgiving weekend but sad it is over!!!

Macey and I enjoyed having Christian home with us. This Thanksgiving was extra special because it was Macey's first! We went to my aunt's house for lunch on Thursday. I didn't reallly take that many pictures this weekend. I was too busy eating and visiting with my family!

 We had such a busy weekend and Macey did great! I had family in town from Indianapolis so visited with them alot. We celebrated Thanksgiving, shopped on Friday, and Saturday we attended my cousins college gradauation party. Poor Macey got passed around so much but she was a trooper!

 My friend Amanda was in town with her husband and little boy this weekend.

Her MIL made Macey this sweet little candy cane hat!!! I just love it!

 Here is Macey with her future boyfriend (Amanda's little boy). Amanda have an arranged marriage setup for these two and plan on using this picture at their reception..HA!

We have spent the day at home today and decorated for Christmas. It is nice to be finished decorating. I will hopefully post pictures soon.

I have to start packing because we are going to visit Christian's family in FL for a few days. I'm kind of nervous about packing for a newborn. I'm sure I will end up taking everything. I'm also a little worried about a 10 hour car drive with her but she seems to like riding right now.

Shutterfly Christmas Cards!!!

I'm sure all you have seen where Shutterfly is doing 50 free Christmas cards for bloggers!!! I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by since I have a sweet baby girl to show off this year and Christmas will be here before we know it. I am looking forward to using Shutter fly for our Christmas cards this year and I can't wait to do a photo book also. Photo books are my favorite and make such a great gift. I plan on doing one of my pregnancy and Macey's birth soon! I'm sure I will be making photo books all the time for myself and Grandparents. There are so many cute designs this year and I have no clue how I will ever decided which design to use. Here are a few of my favorite designs:

 I love the colors on this card! I like the brown and teal with the red.

 I love the little deer on this one. This will be cute with a picture of Macey and Buddy.

 I love how this card has the photo as the main focus! I would use a family photo for this design.

I also really like this one instead of a Christmas letter. I could share about Macey's birth, our first year of marriage, and of course Buddy!!!

There are so many other cute designs! I plan on having a little photo shoot with Macey this week and I can't wait to get started on our Christmas card for 2010!

3 Weeks Old

 I can't believe my baby girl was 3 weeks old yesterday!!!

Life is so complete with her in and I love her so much!!!

Busy Weekend

We have a had a busy weekend and I'm exhausted! Luckily Macey and I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon and it was much needed.

This weekend was Christian's college homecoming so we have been on the run going to the football game and hanging out with everyone in town for it. Christian was the proud dad and was so excited to show Macey off to all his college buddies yesterday.

 Here we are before dinner last night!!! I actually felt human like again this weekend and it was nice to get showered and dressed and go somewhere!!!

My parents watched Macey for us last night for about 2 hours, so we could get out for a little bit with friends. I missed her like crazy and watched the clock the whole time, I was so ready to get home to her. I only called twice to check on her. I was proud of myself.

We bought this hat for her last week because it has been so cold here this weekend and I just love it on her. She is just a doll!!!

Wordless Wednesday

Home Alone

Christian went back to work yesterday and it was my first day alone with Macey. I was a little worried about how things would go, since I still need help doing things b/c of my c-section.

 Well Macey was wonderful and easy, but I still had to call poor Christian home from work b/c of my darn incision. It was leaking yesterday and the doctor wanted to check it out. That doctor said I have wound seroma, which is where fluid builts up around my incision and it has to drain. She told me to take warm showers and hold a heating pad on it and I think it is helping b/c it has drained a lot. Kind of gross I know and I'm sorry it is TMI. It doesn't hurt, just gross and annoying. I'm praying that it heals soon and I don't have any other issues with it.

Today Macey and I have been hanging out around the house on the couch. It is kind of cool out and I'm exhausted. She didn't want to sleep that well last night and she has been fussy today.

No matter how tired I am or how much I have to go through this sweet little baby girl is 100% worth it and I wouldn't trade it for the world. My life is so complete with her here!!!

Also, on another note....we haven't forgotten about our 1st baby. Buddy spent a few days at my parents at first, but I think he is glad to be home. He is adjusting well to his little sister, but I feel bad I can't give him as much attention that I use to. I know in time and when I heal completely things will get better.

Macey's Birth Story

Today was my original due date, but we are thrilled that Macey is already here with us!

I was induced last Wednesday October 20 and Macey joined us Thursday October 21 at 9:15 It was a very long delivery but totally worth it.  Here I am in the hospital parking lot.

 I was to check in at 7:15 on Wednesday night and they started me on an IV and gave me these pills every 4 hours to start thinning my cervix and get things rolling.

I was started on pitocin at 6:00am on Thursday morning. I still hadn't made any progress and was only at a 2 or so. My doctor broke my water at 9:00am and oh man did the contractions start coming, so I had my wonderful epidural around 10:00am. I do not think I could have made it through the day without it. Later that afternoon things started to get more intense and they ended up giving me more pain medicine. I was checked around 5:00 and I was still only at a 5. At 6:00 I started complaining with a lot of pressure and they checked me to just make sure and I was a 9 1/2! The doctor said I could start pushing in 15 minutes, so we got all my family back up there and they prepped the room for delivery. Well they checked me again and I was still at 9 1/2 and a small part of my cervix was still there. We ended up waiting 3 more hours trying to get to a 10 and it never happened. I did try pushing a few times but I made no progress. I was so worn out and drugged up that I really do not think I would have had the energy to push. Around 9:00 her heartrate dropped down to 55 bpm and we made the decision to do a C-section. I was out of enegry and I started getting nervous about the heartbeat. Once we said yes to the C-section, we were on our way to the OR in no time.

  I was so nervous about the C-Section and could not stop shaking, but all the nurses were so sweet during labor and delivery.

 Macey was born at 9:53 and I was so happy to see my baby! It took her a few seconds to start crying and those seemed like the longest seconds of my life.

 First time seeing my sweet baby!!! I was so out of it at this point, but it was the best moment of my life!!!

 Christian took Macey to the nursery and they finished up wth me and I was in recovery for about 2 hours! I ended up sleeping for those 2 hours, but when I woke up I was ready to see and hold my girl!!!
